A Mother of Boys..

A mother of boys knows that she must always have multiple distractions up her sleeve to make sure dinner is done at an appropriate time.

She knows that a simple task of looking at snows calls for

climbing up the sliding glass door to prove someone is spider man

Never under estimate the power of the instant "I'm not taking a picture" followed by a swift throwing of the body and pretending to be asleep

When they DO sleep take their picture because these are the moments you are actually sitting still.

The appropriate age to start climbing doesn't really exist. One day you will be sitting there and this happens...

In order to get a really cute picture...you may have a few (a lot) of pictures like these..

Clothes.... those are optional, if they get them off whether the top or the bottoms just know they will probably be like that for the rest of the day

Never underestimate their instant excitement about learning a new thing even if it seems like no big deal to you! "Mom look I made a triangle"

If they don't want you to do something...they will throw their entire life into making sure you don't do it!

Toilet Paper makes a really fun way to buy yourself some time when you need to get ready.

Getting both boys to look at you at the same time may actually be an impossible task.

There are a lot of moments where you see them hanging upside down, in their underwear and yelling "Mom check this out, isn't it cool?"

When laying on the floor..you are fair game to be a human jungle gym

Sometimes they surprise you with a handful of chocolate unwrapped, eaten all in your bed while you are rocking the baby to sleep.

Sometimes gates don't do S*** (pardon my french but seriously there is nothing else to say)

Sometimes you go in to cover them up and you see them sleeping on the ball you gave them to throw out of the crib rather than their binkie  and their shirt is inside out

Sometimes a simple foot rub turns into "Dude Mom your feet stink!"

If you are holding one of them while getting your eye brows waxed. it may turn into something like this

The simplest thing can cause the biggest mess.

The amount of small blocks, cars, trains, balls, is unfreaking real!

They are truly freakishly strong and can push down a gate if you leave the slightest opportunity for them to get upstairs.

They can fit in the places you didn't really think they could .

They can cover their face faster than you imagined they could  just to dodge a picture.

But sometimes just sometimes you catch them still, sweet and being nice to each other. Reminding you that this parenting gig can be exhausting with more than one kid and even more tiring with more than one boy but to know that they will grow up to have someone who will always have their back makes every ounce of it worth it.
